We’re excited to introduce Seattle’s first Beer Giraffe, a table-top dispenser that serves cold beer fresh from the tap. The long plastic tube holds 96 ounces of beer, with a second tube made for ice in the middle to ensure each pint is crisp and cold.
And since a picture is worth a thousand words….
Beer drinkers can choose from a variety of beers on tap including Kölsch German Lager, Lazy Boy IPA, and Sierra Nevada. Each Beer Giraffe is $32.50 and contains six pints for the price of five pints.
According to www.beer-giraffe.com, these dispensers were popular in America at the beginning of 20th century and the first models are now collectibles and very valuable items for auction sales. With the development of plastic material and manufacturing technology, many new models were designed in the 1990s and many applicants applied for patents at that time.
Our general Manager Will Tharreau spearheaded the arrival of the Beer Giraffe at Fonté. He participated in the revival of the giraffes in the 1990s, serving them at the bar he managed in France’s Loire Valley. He is excited to offer Seattle a taste of the convenience and ease of this device.
Come on in to slurp up this unique contraption!
